My scanner hates me. It’s now making rainbow plaid patterns out of blank white paper. I may need to get a new one. Maybe I’ll buy one of [these](http://www.umax.com/scanners/index.jsp?cate=Scanners%3A Consumer models&skunum=SPKG-13526).
